Virtualization Infrastructure Design and Operation

Ongoing design, build, and operation of virtualization infrastructure for development, security testing, research, and AI workloads. Current primary infrastructure runs on Proxmox with PCIe passthrough for dedicated firewall (OPNsense) and storage (TrueNAS) VMs, consolidating what was previously a full rack of separate appliances into a single chassis. Previous generations used VMware ESXi on Dell PowerEdge server hardware. The lab supports rapid provisioning of test environments for security research and expert witness work, including isolated networks, multi-OS configurations, and compute-intensive workloads.
