On February 13, 2015, Dr. Martin appeared on Al Jazeera America and Al Jazeera English (international) to discuss the security of networked and implantable medical devices.
The conversation focused on how life-critical and connected medical devices — and the patient data they handle — can be exposed to remote tampering or interception, and on why strong security is difficult to retrofit into devices where it was not an original design priority.
